I always keep complaining about how I am not good enough, how I don’t look pretty like everyone else out there.
But today I was sitting in my bed, in my baggy white t-shirt and pajamas, wearing no make, having open hairs and I just saw my reflection in the mirror and smiled. I loved every bit of myself, the messy silky hairs, glowing scars on my skin, shining brown eyes, and the genuine smile. I have a fine face, I have a pure heart, isn’t it good enough? I guess it is.
I wonder why I spent this much time complaining rather than loving every bit of it.
It’s hard to walk on a self-love journey when we have so many doubts inside us, but it’s the most necessary thing. We love one day and find faults in every little thing the next but let’s keep going. Fill ourselves with so much love that every being that crosses our lives never feels unloved.
Let’s take a teeny tiny step each day in loving ourselves the way we deserve to be loved.
